This version of Eclipse offers major enhancements, including:

New user interface style, featuring a toolbar across the top of the screen window (see example below). Windows can now be maximized without appearing behind any launch pads or pallettes. NOTE: v4.0 requires a minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution to run Enhanced Quickbooks Interface for Eclipse Accounting Integrator including dynamic and seamless integration when posting invoices directly into Quickbooks. No more IIF files and batch exports are required! (requires Quickbooks 2003 Professsional or Premier US Edition) Includes easy import from Quickbooks capabilities for customers & part records. Now your Quickbooks customers and inventory items can easily be imported into Eclipse without requiring the creation of any export files. Private and public NOTES support on service calls. Techs can now communicate about service calls either within their organization or to the customer both through client/server and web connections Enhanced Inventory Management functionality, including Last In & Average Cost calculations, records of all inventory movements stored by part number, complete cycle count support including batch count entry functionality and stock count sheets, inventory valuation reports Enhanced Purchasing and part receipt capability. Simplified entry of parts received with the option to tie inventory receipts against the purchase orders that created them, and automatic notification of technicians affected by incoming part receipts Enhanced Purchase Orders including support for sales tax and shipping on Purchase Orders Better International address handling with editable address blocks allowing for better support of European address formats Better support for very large databases, including page by page viewing of up to 5,000 records per page of jobs, clients, parts, assets, sites, etc. No longer is the user limited to seeing only 5,000 records at a time and being forced to reduce their search criteria. Better server handling and increased speed on queries as well. Manufacturer RMA tracking capability. Users can now create a record of a manufacturer RMA when an item is returned to a manufacturer for replacement, with the option to have a followup e-mail sent to a nominated address after an elected period of time has elapsed. Better handling of time based service agreements with easy data entry for operators when time based agreements run out, and chargeable labor has to be entered as a result. Ability to manually change the charge rate on a labor by labor item, with automatic facilities for calculation of time and a half, double time, etc. for overtime rates And much, much, more.....

We've changed the look and feel of Eclipse to a 'Toolbar' approach, so that it is easy to manage your windows and to maximize windows with a single click. We feel that this is more intuitive for Windows users, and consistent with other Windows applications making it easier to learn Eclipse.
